What do you get when artists who see through a child's eyes collaborate with your artistic child? You get a one-of-a-kind Once Upon a Painting original, of course!

Your child becomes part of our design team through their artwork. They join professional artists Michael and Chris Pruitt, married collaborators who both received their Bachelor's of Fine Art degrees from Texas Tech University. Chris also earned a Masters in Fine Art Photography at Arizona State University.

The couple has shown their fine art in Phoenix and Tempe, Arizona; Denver and Colorado Springs, Colorado; and Santa Fe, New Mexico. Michael's abstract fine art paintings are in collections all over the country. Chris's digital collage pieces have been part of exhibitions including the Arizona State University Art Museum, and published in several magazines.

The couple began Once Upon A Painting as a way of sharing original paintings they had created for their own children. They began collaborating with their children to create the works they are now known for.

They each bring unique perspectives and talents to their joint creations. Chris loves working with children and getting messy in the studio creating her own work. Michael has an imagination to match that of the most whimsical child. Tell us what your child says about their drawing and he is off creating a fun new world for it to occupy. They both do custom work and commissions.
